Profit per Square Foot

Why it’s important

Profit per Square Foot is an essential metric in retail operations for establishing how efficiently the retail space is being utilised to generate profit. A low score may indicate that the layout requires further optimisation.

How to create itĀ 

Step One

To create Profit per Square Foot you’ll need to know:

  1. Total Revenue
  2. The Square Foot of the building

Total Revenue should beĀ sourced directly from your accountancy platform of choice or imported into FUTRLI via CSV. Square foot is a non-financial metric which will need to be imported into FUTRLI via CSV.

Step Two

Once you have all of the necessary items, you can calculate Profit per Square Foot by dividing Total Revenue by the Square Foot of the building.
